For two days now, my back has been bothering me. I have experienced bad backs in the past, but not of this “magnitude.” Usually, the pain leaves in hours, but I’ve been feeling this pain since yesterday [so no time to look for natural acne products]! I can’t even carry my niece for straights minutes [when in fact I can carry her for an hour!].
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is nothing serious. Not UTI please, or nothing related to my internal organs. I’m even willing to accept that this has something to do with aging!
I’ve rested today [and will rest tomorrow], hoping it will go away. I have a trip in days and having this back ache will simply not do! If worse come to worst, hilot will be my last option!
Oh my back, please cooperate! I need a healthy body!
Remember how I felt stuck?
Well, last weekend, I got myself unstuck and was finally able to go to the beach. What a great, great feeling it was! I was finally able to relax and enjoy a whole weekend with nothing on my mind (not even work, not even those TSA locks, not even spa covers). It was just two days of fun at the beach. Yay!!!
Enjoying swimming during sunset in Batangas!
Hay….we all need times like these…relaxation times! It refreshes our minds and reenergizes our bodies! I’m thinking of having another one! He! He!
The other day, Wendy saw me going out to run an errand at the mall and commented: “Mama, your bag is sooooo big!“
I must admit, I always bring a big bag. People have also commented how heavy my bag is (as if I’m selling lots of weight loss products here). I guess it’s psychological…I bring with me a lot of things I think I might need. It’s like bringing the whole house with me!

I remember reading a magazine with an article asking the following question: If there is one thing you cannot leave the house without, what would be it?
I had a hard time answering! I guess my wallet…but I can’t leave my cell phone too…and my kikay kit…what about my bible?
Ang hirap!
What about you, what can you not leave home without?
I did it! I cast my vote yesterday, and I’m proud to be part of such an event!
I almost didn’t make it…or, to put it more accurately, I almost didn’t want to vote. When I arrived at our voting area at 9 in the morning, the line was soooooo long! People from all walks of life were there…the rich ones (in their urban clothes, under the intense heat of the sun), tricycle drivers, elderly, students (excited to be voting for the first time), vendors, and so many others! So we decided to go back after 2 hours. Even then, when we decided to take a spot on the line, we learned from others that it took them 4 hours to vote! My sisters and I just took one look at one another and left the line. We would just come back again.
Our last chance was when we went back at 5 pm. We were decided that we would stick it out no matter how long it took. We got a surprise when we arrived and there was NO line! Lucky us! It took us less than 10 minutes from the time we signed beside our names to the time indelible ink was put on our fingers.
It actually was fun! The shading part felt like taking a test! He! He! And entering your votes to the PCOS machine was like faxing something. Fun!
Oh, what a great feeling that I know I’ve done my obligation to our country, especially being part of the first automated elections. What a small thing compared to what is expected from us.
And now, we wait.
