Do you know that “bonus” literally means “good” in Latin? Hmmmm… Perhaps that is why we are happy here in the office. What a great day today is! Now, I can buy the luggage I’ve been eyeing or perhaps the best anti wrinkle eye cream in the market (I’ve been working too hard!)!
Thank you God!
Oh what a happy Friday! Have a great weekend everyone!
My officemates and I, surrounded by office furniture and the sound of key boards, are busy working [or pretending to be working] today. But in reality, we are waiting for some good news from our boss.
Most are getting agitated waiting for confirmation. News has been getting around for some time, with no finality. Ano ba talaga? So now, we are all at the edge of our seats.
If all goes well, we wil be all wearing big smiles perhaps tomorrow! Hope the good news is true.
Im crossing my fingers!
I love to laugh…good thing that I grew up in a family that loves to laugh. Especially during meal times, we all love telling stories and laughing together. Actually, all of us have a hearty laugh. Yung tipong pag nagtatawanan kami, rinig hanggang kapitbahay. True!
Fortunately, Wendy got our love of laughter. The two of us would always tickle each other to make each other laugh. Besides that, we like playing tricks on each other telling each other jokes.
Over time, Wendy has developed a knack of “inventing” jokes. Here are some of her jokes:
Question: Why did the banana go to the doctor?
Answer: Because it wasn’t peeling well.
Question: What will you say to a dog when you give it a bone (not moyoberry ha)?
Answer: Bone appetit!
Question: Why are trains and people alike?
Answer: Because they both chew-chew!
Wendy is so hilarious! It’s so nice to laugh at jokes, especially when they’re made up by your little one. A sense of humor is one thing I want Wendy to grow up with.
Go ahead, laugh!
Because taking pictures is one of my favorites things to do, cameras are very important to me.
I bought a Canon DSLR two years ago, and the pictures it takes are great. However, lately, I’ve been seriously thinking of buying a handy point-and-shoot camera because lugging the DSLR around is not that easy.
I’ve been scouting the Net for some good [and, more importantly, cheap] models, looking at Web sites like canon.ph (sometimes, I get sidetracked and land on www.eyecreamfordarkcircles.com) just
Anyway, after some scouting, I believe that this is what I want:

What do you think?
They look so nice, and I hope they also takes some good pictures.

This morning, as I opened the door, stepped on one of our outdoor rugs, and went out to the world and saw the sun shining brightly, I couldn’t feel but be thankful for another day given to me.
Doesn’t it feel wonderful to be given another day…another chance to enjoy life or to correct the mistakes of yesterday? God is really good.
No matter how tiring the past weekend was, when I think about the week to come, I can’t help but feel thankful.
Now, every morning, I make it a point to thank God for another day.
Have a great week everyone!

It’s late in the evening, and I’m stll working! My body is feeling lethargic (it’s shouting “MASSAGE!!!”), my eye bags are getting bigger, and I am now in dire need of the best wrinkle filler!
Two weekends in a row, I’ve had full-packed weekends. And although I can’t complain about the fun I had last weekend and the work I’m doing now, oh how I long for a relaxing weekend again, to just lie in bed and sleep all day or perhaps to spend it all day in the spa and have daylong massage (bugbog ata ako nun)! Sarap!
Anyway, there’s still Sunday tomorrow, so I’m hoping to sneak in some rest, hopefully.
Good night everyone!
As I was working in my room this afternoon, I heard a very loud scream by Wendy. A rushed outside to see what happened.
There was Wendy, eyes wide, with her hands on her cheeks, screaming while watching the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award.
The culprit? Justin Beiber [the first time, I though it was Justin Beaver].
Just who is this boy? I didn’t even know who he was until Wendy told me everything about him…his age, his TV appearances, his songs. I think Wendy has every info on mac memory.
I really didn’t care who he was, but became interested when Wendy told me quietly and timidly, “mama, crush ko sya.”
Naku po, nagsimula na po…
April 22 has been designated Earth Day.
According to the Earth Day Web site:
Forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater peril than ever. While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity – an unprecedented opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean energy economy now and for the future.
Earth Day 2010 can be a turning point to advance climate policy, energy efficiency, renewable energy and green jobs. Earth Day Network is galvanizing millions who make personal commitments to sustainability. Earth Day 2010 is a pivotal opportunity for individuals, corporations and governments to join together and create a global green economy. Join the more than one billion people in 190 countries that are taking action for Earth Day.

So, rather than looking for ways to get rid of blackheads, busy yourself thinking of ways to reduce your water and energy consumption, decrease your contribution to pollution, and contribute to the betterment of our world.
Most of all, let us keep in mind what a little child in a advertisement [I listen to DZMM] said: Basta para sa akin, araw araw ay Earth day.

It’s already around halfway through summer but I really don’t feel like it is. If not for the fact that it’s soooo hot [and Wendy is on vacation from school], I would hardly notice the summer days going by.
You might ask why…
Whereas everybody else has been somewhere already, I’ve gone nowhere! Gosh! I haven’t even been to the beach or even a few meters to a swimming pool! How devastating!
I’m just waiting for that “perfect” summer getaway this year.
So there, even if I want to be here:
I’m stuck in front of desktop computers, working!
Oh, when will summer “start” for me?
Having gotten Chicken pox, Wendy has become agitated at home.
Wendy: Mama, super bored na ako! All I do the whole day is watch TV and play with my toys!
Indeed, she has become so bored that she even has a favorite butlig [somewhere in her leg]. Don’t ask me what her criteria for the favorite butlig was…I don’t want to know!
Anyway, I told her that her Tita Jane once had a “mother butlig” and that, if she didn’t want be bored, perhaps, she can look for it. She smiled at me,”talaga?”
So now, she will be busy looking for that biggest blister. After that, she says she will name all the blisters in her body! Now that will take a while!
