Remember this talk?
Well, lately, another talk came up again! Gosh, I really wish these situations come with exit signs! How would I get through these?
Wendy: Mama, ang galing ano? Babies come from mommies’ stomachs! Pano ba yun napunta dun?
KG: [panicking again!] Well…May something ang daddies and something ang mommies. THen they do something so that these meet and become a baby. [already panting and sweating]
Wendy: [Wide eyed] Wow!
KG: [before Wendy can ask again] Imagine, from that small thing, a baby is born! Ang galing ni God ano? [Thank God for that idea of infusing a divine relationship between how babies are made and how they are born!]
Wendy: Oo nga! Ang galing ni God!
Whew! Got out of that one alive! Kelan kaya ang next near-death experience for me?
One of my goals this 2010 is to save more.
I had this same resolution last year, and by mid-year, I had already saved my target savings. I continued to save, but laxed a lot toward the second half of the year. This year, I want to save more!!!
I was listening to the radio a couple of days ago and heard this motivational speaker/successful businessman talking about how we can attain financial stability. He said, “It’s not how much you earn, but how much you save.” You may be earning millions, but if you also spend millions [driving a Mercedez Benz or wearing a tuxedo shirt], it will mean nothing. Sounds logical diba?
So a lesson for us this year, live simply and save, save, save!
