I caught an episode of a new series the other day and found it to be entertaining. I am talking about Glee.
If you’re not a fan of musicals, then this is perhaps not for you, because this is a musical series. But then, the singing is all part of the story. The series focuses on a high school choir set in a fictional high school in Ohio. The songs are incorporated aptly into the story in an episode.
After watching that one episode, I immediately searched the net for videos of the other songs they have featured on the show. And what I love about the show is that they give a new twist to songs like No Air, Halo & Walking on Sunshine, Somebody to Love, Don’t Stop Believing, among so many others. In addition, the production numbers are no frills; they don’t have over-the-top sets and ceiling fans blowing the cast’s hairs, just a stage and the band and singers. Beautiful! Just pure entertaintment.
I will definitely watch more!
I didn’t get that much into Glee until I’ve downloaded all songs. The storylines are silly, but I guess that’s where the charm (and the comedy) lies. It’s great entertainment. No wonder it’s very popular. Madaming mahilig sa music, plus the cast is really talented
i haven’t watched glee either..until i got quarantined for 7 days and had nothing else to do but lie down and watch short movie clips online (i was dizzy and couldn’t concentrate for long periods of time). i found episodes 1 to 8 of glee online and i got hooked. the songs are very nicely arranged and executed. even though it’s got too many stereotypes, it still manages to pull a few surprises. but let’s face it — there’s an underdog in each one of us, that’s why we can identify with one or more of those characters on the show

I’m not into musicals, but I’m reading so many good reviews about this that we might see what the fuss is.
