February 14 was a special day for Odette, who turned 30 that day [he! he! kailangan pa ba sabihin yun?]. I’m so happy because she informed me [or sort of reminded me] that the deadline for her birthday giveaway was still on the 28th! Ooohhh, the prizes she will be giving away are so nice! [Anyway, I don’t know what I’m so excited about since I’m soooo unlucky at “raffles”. I’ve never won…not even once! Nonetheless, I wanted to do the post since this is an interesting one.]
What we had to do was simple: write on what makes us happy through our senses [except the sense of sight, as per Odette]. I tried my best to reflect on this because we rarely get to think about things that make us happy…especially those small things we smell, feel or touch, hear, and taste makes out heart jump. Believe me, when you get to think about it, you will realize that happiness can also come in small packages. And when you get to realize this, you will also feel that there are so many reasons to be happy! Try it, close your eyes and try to think about your sense of smell…what makes you happy through it? Your ears? How about your sense of taste and touch?
So what makes me happy?
Oohhh….Stop me please! I can go on and on and on! I am a person who becomes happy even with the simplest things! Mababaw ang kaligayahan ko! But you know what? I believe that that is how life is supposed to be lived.
