Spending 13 straight hours on a plane is not an easy task. What else is there to do than sleep, eat, read, or watch TV. I mean, after a while, it gets boring. And this is why I consider myself lucky though to see a spectacular view from miles above sea level on our airplane ride from Amsterdam to Manila: seeing the world at night.
I don’t know why, but I remember feeling so at peace, as if life was perfect, as if there were no problems to face.
Now that our world is facing a big crisis, I remember that scene from above and wonder how we came to this. I want to gather all security systems ever made, lock the world into safety, and turn it back into how it was supposed to be….safe and sound.
But what if it was this was how things really should be? What if this crisis is part of natural life cycle of the world? Then I’ll just wait for that next chance to see the world at night.
