Friends, tomorrow morning, I will be flying to Europe for a 3-week vacation.It’s a new ballgame for me and I am excited…and a little nervous. It’s a foreign land with a different language. Here in the Philippines, drop me anywhere and I will be able to find my way back home. But a thousand miles away? Let’s just hope the language barrier doesn’t get to me.
Anyway, I want to share some must-see’s and must-do’s for me when my sister and I get there. We may get to see and do everything, maybe not.
-Catch some windmills at work. I am facinated with how windmills work. And they also provide a cozy feeling to any place.
-See the Anne Frank house. Obvious reason–for history. I want to see how she managed to survive in a small house when the Nazi reigned.
-See tulips in bloom. Too bad for me, they are not in season at this time of the year.
- See what the fuss on Red Light District is about. I’m just curious.
-Taste authentic French Fries (which they say really originated from Belgium) and Belgian waffles.
-Of course, see and climb the Eiffel tower!
-Visit Mona Lisa at the Louvre (and the Louvre itself)
-Go on a side trip to Versailles.
-See the works of Gaudi, especially the Sagrada Familia.
-See and experience EVERYTHING in Spain!
-Pray at the Vatican city and St. Peter’s Basilica (and, hopefully, see the Pope)
-Enter the Colosseum
-Eat gelato…yummieee!!!!!!
- See, and if budget permits, ride a Gondola.
-Experience the romance of Venice
Then there’s the Leaning Tower of Pisa..which I hope I find the time to visit.
More than these things, I am excited to experience a whole new culture, see what it’s like to live in Europe, and get to know people. I know 3 weeks is such a short time to totally enjoy these countries, so I’m making the most out of the days I’ll be spending there.So much to do and see, so little time!
So guys, please do pray not only for a fun trip for me and my sister but also for a safe one. And hopefully, by my next post, the pictures I will be posting will be the ones I took!
