Imagine that you’re an editor and you have to edit something like this…
At least we get what she is trying to say! (Aahhhh….the justification of a woman defending her being a “mang-aagaw”!)
From the TV series Side Order of Life:
Jenny: [to the server] I’ll have the Chinese chicken salad, dressing on the side.
Vivy: No! Get the dressing on the salad, no side orders, Jenny! [to the server] And she wants fries with that, to–
Jenny: No, I don’t.
Vivy: Yes you do! Want it, want all of it and ask for it! Look beyond what is right in front of you; life is the main course, the appetizer and the dessert. So get the dressing on the salad, and no side orders!
[Vivy is someone who has, just recently, discovered she has breast cancer]
I don’t watch this show, but this converstation has been stuck in my head since I caught the trailer months ago. Kind of reminds me that “Life is short; eat the dessert first.”
Just like Chico Gracia, I’m doing my own “Top 10,” only this is a “Top 5.” This post actually comes in two parts. This first one is about my favorite destinations in the Philippines. The second one, which will feature the places in the Philippines I would most want to visit but never had been to, will come next month.
This tag came from Trisha. And like her, a prayer for those stricken with cancer also feels so close to home, so personal. My mother is still battling lung cancer, and I and my family know firsthand the power of prayer. A priest once told us, medicine can only go into the system (ie, the body); once it enters the body, it is now upto God for the medicine work. We know that prayers have kept my mother still alive and with us upto this moment. Praying for people with cancer may become more heartfelt when it becomes personal…when a loved one (or you yourself) has it.
The following prayer is short compared with the prayers that people with cancer and their family recite so often (and I must know). So I hope anyone reading this will take that few seconds to recite the prayer.

I am not tagging anyone, but whoever who wants to spread this prayer may do so.
