I am a person who loves to travel. So it is just fitting that my very first "official" blog entry is about traveling.

I must admit that I have never been outside the Philippines. However, my experience traveling in our country has made me feel that it has been more than enough. The Philippines is full of wonderful places that, I think, one would not be able to explore in one’s lifetime. Honestly, I have always been in awe of the wonderful places that I have been to, as well as the new experiences I encounter and the people that I meet. Each new place that I go to offers things and experiences that are unique that each place is so memorable and beautiful in its own way.

When I was younger, my purpose in traveling was primarily just to be able to say that I have been here or there and, as most of us are guilty of,  to be "seen" (going to places like Boracay and Puerto Galera just to romp off and make "porma" along the shorelines). I am not saying that there is something wrong with this, its just that as I got older, traveling has entailed a different meaning for me. Now, I travel to experience new things…to see new places…to meet new people (especially the locals of the place) and experience their culture. Now, it has become a matter of "exploring," so much so that I do not usually travel to places where there are usually many tourists (if I do, I go during the off-peak season) but rather to unexplored places. This is what I love to do.

I hope to be able to share some knowledge and information on traveling around the Philippines. I am a witness to how hepful blogs can be when searching for information on a particular place on the Internet can be. It is my earnest dream that people (especially us Filipinos) will discover how beautiful and wonderful the Philippines is.

Welcome the new year…Welcome to the blogging world!

Blogging is something that I never thought I’d do…but here I am. I think most bloggers started with the same purpose as mine…to share experiences and hope that one’s blogs would somehow make an impact on other poople. This is is my vision.

I do not even know if I would constantly have something to "blog about." My life is too simple! However, I believe that, somehow, some things are worth sharing. And I do hope that whatever I will be writing would somehow help, or even entertain, some people out there.
